Population growth in London’s boroughs since the 19th century

The Office for National Statistics said that the capital’s population in the 19th century was roughly 1 million and today’s projections show that London’s population will reach 10.66 million by 2036. The rapid and sharp growth continues and it has been attributed to young population. London’s population will raise at a faster speed than any other part of the country and this generates concerns about the shortage of housing and school.

This short video above highlights the population growth in all London’s boroughs since 1881 as well as projections for the next 27 years.
